When listening to people talk about the death of their loved ones and the possibility of life after death, I always hear the same type of statement, “Until we meet again”, “When I see you again”, etc. I have heard this from every person from super religious individuals to atheists. It confuses me because the same people that do not believe in spirits, ghosts, hauntings, or demons pretty much feel they will see their loved ones again. In my opinion this speaks volumes about what they believe in but when asked outright most people are skeptics about the possibility of anything paranormal. Some feel it’s “evil” or ungodly but will tell you in the same breath they know they will see people they love on the other side.
My experiences have convinced me that there is definitely more to us then cells and bones and we go on after our physical body dies. To me, this is a fact. I have lost more people in my life than I would like to admit and have always felt the ones I have lost before them around when it’s getting close to their end. Sometimes it’s just a feeling, a scent, a whisper or a soft touch making sure I know that my people will not be alone in the transition to their afterlife. I have witnessed some who see the ones that have passed before them while on their deathbed but this always seems to be dismissed as a hallucination, the medication they are taking, or that the person is so out of it they don’t know where they are, etc.
I am certain that we are all shown signs that our family/friends come at our end, but aren’t acknowledged or get dismissed in fear of judgement from others. Why does what we feel get disregarded when so many people believe “We will meet again” after we pass? I look forward to seeing everyone I have missed so much in my life and hope to get answers to the questions I have carried around for years. Paranormal investigations have more than proven with hard evidence that there are spirits, ghosts, demons, angels. etc. Some choose to accept this evidence as fact and some just won’t accept it. Technology has given paranormal investigators ways to communicate and measure the afterlife to further prove it’s existence. Whether you believe or not I am sure that our loved ones stand in line to greet us when we pass, show us the way and most importantly let us know they have always been with us. We take love with us to our next destinations and I look forward to seeing who is there to greet me when it is my time to crossover.

I completely agree that previously deceased love ones come at the end of another’s life. My dad passed away just a few days ago and he was seeing those love ones. Same thing happened with my uncle. This gives me great comfort to know they will come for me one day.
I hope he is able to come to me in a paranormal way, I would love to communicate with him again.
I HAVE KNOWN AND SEEN THING SINCE I WAS LITTLE,HAS HAVE MY CHILDREN AND GRANDS. I TOOK CARE OF MY DIEING MOTHER FOR 7 YRS. I WAS FEEDING HER BREAKFAST AND THIS BIG BLUE BALL WAS IN THE CORNER OF THE ROOM KIND OF ROTATING THEN DISSAPEARED. MY MOTHER SAID JESUS WAS HERE A WEEK LATER SHE PASSED. I HAD JUST CHANGED AND TURNED HER COVERED AND KISSED HER GOODNIGHT AT 200AM. I WAS A WOKE BY HER POKING ME IN THE BACK,”I WAS SLEEPING ON COUCH FACING THE BACK”SHE SAID MESHELLY GET UP AND THEN POKE AND AGIAN MESHELLY GET UP. I WOKE THE SUN RISE WAS COMING THROUGHT THE WINDOWS THEN I FEEL THIS HUGE PRESENSE IN THE AIR AND SAW MY MOTHER GET SUCKED UP TO THIS OPENING. SHE WAS GONE. SHE HASN’T RETURNED. MY BROTHER WAS KILLED HERE HAS WELL. HE SAID SINCE HE WAS 16 I WILL DIE AT 39. I WAS LIVING IN CALIFORNIA CALLED HIM FOR HIS BD. THIS IS THE LAST TIME YOU WILL TALK TO ME SIS. NO! DON’T SAY THAT I LOVE YOU CALL ME BACK. HE WAS DEAD TWO WEEKS LATER. HE HAD A FATAL ACCIDENT BUT HE FREINDS SAID HE WAS BEING CHASED. I CAME TO HELP MOM FOR FUNERAL AND CLEAN OUT HOUSE. THREE DAYS AFTER BURING HIM WE WENT THE HOUSE . WE OPENED THE DOOR AND THIS HARD WIND CAME RUSHING US AND THE SMELL OF THE FUNERAL MAKE UP WE TRYED TO PACK BACK THE FEELING OF WHY ARE YOU IN MY HOUSE AND GOING THROUGH MY THINGS WAS OVER WELMING .MOM ACTION EVERYTHING WITHOUT BEING THERE. THEN TWO YRS LATER MY YOUNGEST SON DROWN IN HIS FATHERS POOL. HE SAW THE PEOPLE WORKING ON HIM AND HIM GOING BACK IN HIS BODY. HE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR FOUR DAYS BE HIS FATHER TOLD ME. THE EXPERIENCE HAD HIM ON HIS KNEES IN A PARKING LOT ACCEPTING THE LORD JESUS AS HIS SAVIOR.
I am one of those skeptics mentioned…. But let me explain. First of all I fully believe we go on, life does not end at our demise. In that aspect we agree, there is an afterlife and we all go on. To that extent I do not even consider it paranormal; rather it is simply an extension, the next phase. we all will experience it, which makes it quite normal, not paranormal.
My skepticism has to do with what extent contact is maintained wish us after death. I doubt that there is much, if any such contact. Many make these claims but there is also no way to discount the effect that missing the departed has on how we the living react to their departure. We have memories, we have sorrow, we have our own emotions in play. How can we say to what extent this affects what we experience? Consider too, if our loved one has passed to what is supposed to be a place of peace and no sorrow, how would they feel if they could see what we are back here? Would they not have empathy for our sorrow? And is this not contradictory to the concept of joy and happiness we expect in the afterlife?
Since the afterlife deals with religious teachings also consider the Biblical passages where the rich man is asking for help and the question is asked about contact. (Luke 16 covers the entaire story, but pay particular attention to verse 26, “26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’”. This seems to answer the question about the dead contacting the living from a scriptural aspect.
So yes, i believe in the afterlife, it is only the idea about them interacting with us I am skeptical of.
