John Sabol is a professional archaeologist, anthropologist, sociologist, and historian, and holds a Master of Arts in anthropology and archeology from the University of Tennessee. John’s field experience dates back to 1969 and he has published over sixty-two books related to his work, including the methodological approach called “performance excavations” as well as allegedly haunted ruins throughoutEurope, Canada, the United States, and Mexico. He has spoken at many Theoretical Archaeological conferences both in the USA and in the UK, as well as at professional conferences in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Scotland, Canada, and Mexico.

John is also a professionally trained actor, and has appeared in more than 30 major motion pictures, including Dune (1984), Rambo, Conan the Destroyer, and the James Bond thriller License to Kill. He is currently the Haunted History Tour Director at the Bedford Springs Resort and Spa Complex in Bedford, Pennsylvania, where he has been working on the Staging Afterlife Project for the past seven years.
