During the holidays, it’s only natural that we start to think about those who have passed. As we grew up, we became accustomed to certain Christmas traditions that out adult relatives would do for us. But after they pass, it is up to us to continue those traditions. The holidays have long been known as a time for family, friends, and loved ones to come together and celebrate. Given the extreme emotional attachments we have to the holidays, one has to wonder how that affects the paranormal world. There are both researchers and regular folks that have said that activity escalates during the holidays. While we tend to think that Halloween is the ultimate holiday for ghostly encounters, the month of December has proven itself to be a time of increased activity. Why? The answer is in the holidays.
In the spirit of trying to not get too personal, I’m getting ready to embark on my second Christmas without my mother, as she passed in January 2015. For anyone who has lost a loved one, the first year of holidays is sad, but the ongoing ones seem to be worse for some. It’s another year without their loved one. And do ghosts, or those who have died, feel that same emptiness and pain as the living? If they do, it would make sense that they would drop by during the holidays to reminisce on years passed when the family was all alive and together. Do I think that they make their presence known? I don’t think so. The holidays were rather quiet in activity in my life, but I want to think that my mother was with me in some way or another. We do tend to get an increase in investigation requests during the holidays, which is interesting to me. Perhaps there are those who do want to make their presence known, or even a message to pass on as we end the year.
Regardless on what your thoughts are of ghosts and spirits, the memory of those who have left us live on in us and the traditions we practice and pass on. If you are missing someone this holiday season, know that they are also missing you, and they probably yearn for another holiday season where they can embrace you and have you know that they love you. The signs are there, and all you need to do is pay attention to the finer details in your life right now. That sign could very well be right in front of you.
If you are emotionally in need of support this holiday season and are desperate to make contact with a deceased loved one, please proceed with caution. The reason being is that you don’t want to open yourself up to getting visits from unwanted entities who will only feed on your grief and pain. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact a reputable and local paranormal investigation team, or even APS, and we will do our best to answer your questions.
Absolutely loved ones in spirit are with you durning the holidays, during sad times, and happiness times as well. They want everyone of their living loved ones to focus on all the beautiful memories that was created before they died. Why? Because those memories are tangible to spirit with so much love that you can actually “feel” your loved ones presence when you think of them. They will be with you always. Death is not the end but a new beginning in their spiritual path. They wish you and all to live life to the fullest that let go all the guilt, pain, depression, and even grudges. Let it go and start living in happiness and love .. My mother passed in Oct 2016. I know about how it is to lose a close family member. But I do know she’s free from pain and sickness. She’s doing what she loves in the spirit realm. And I do feel her everyday. So please take note that loved ones are with each and every one of you that have lost a loved one. They love you, they want you to be happy. Happy holidays everyone! Namaste..
A few years ago my daughter came home for Christmas. That year was tough for us and mone was tight. My daughter and us retired for the night. Around 11 pm my daughter comes running into our bedroom to tell us that she was on her laptop because she couldn’t sleep when she noticed that somehow the name LEO had appeared in the browser bar. We thought this was cool as Leo was her Grand father’s name who had passed from Cancer some years previous. The very next day we were informed that her Grand mother who is still with us was giving every member of the family 1000 dollars . Which saved our Christmas. Later my daughter told us that just before the name appeared on her computer she was praying that a miracle would happen to help us through the holidays. They do come to visit
My mother passed away in July of 2016 so this was our 1st Thanksgiving, her birthday Nov 29th, Christmas and now approaching New Years without her. I can tell you that her spirit was in my house early Christmas morning, to many things happened back to back in a week and continued on through Christmas morning that couldn’t be explained, but she did things that made me know without a doubt that she had came to spend Christmas with us. Christmas was her favorite holiday.
